REPORT ON CHRISTMAS PARTY AT JESENICE GRAMMAR SCHOOL

Introduction

This report will focus on the Christmas party that was organised at the end of December. It is written by a student of Jesenice grammar school. As a student of ITS the writer had an assignment to write a report on it. The report is for everyone who is interested in the celebration and students’ opinions, including the writer’s.

The organisation

On Tuesday, 24 December 2019, at 9.15 there was a Christmas party at the gym of Jesenice grammar school. It is traditionally organised by third-year students. The celebration was for all students and employees. It lasted for two hours and with its ending the Christmas holidays began.

The party

There were seven different games. The participating students had been selected by the organisers. First, there was a Christmas quiz. This was followed by decorating “a Christmas tree” – two boys were decorated by their classmates. In the next game students from the second grade competed in singing Christmas songs. Next activity was writing letters to Santa. The fifth game was carrying lollipops to the other side of the gym with Chopsticks. Next, the students from the first grade had to wrap four presents as fast as they could. In the dancing performances at the end, there were two students from each grade. The game was called Santa and his companion. The party finished with a performance by the school acrobatics team – Medvedki (The Bears).

Students’ opinion

Before the party, everyone had hoped that they would not be called to take part in the games. The organisers were quite friendly, because they did not think of any “horrible” activities. Most of the students said that the party had been good, but some of them added that it had been too long and it become boring. However, all the students had the same opinion about Medvedki – everyone enjoyed their performance. That was the best part of the party.

Comments

I think that the party was organised well. It is difficult to prepare interesting activities, but this year’s third graders succeeded. There were no major flaws. I believe that the audience enjoyed the party. While I was taking photos, I saw that everyone was thrilled. Medvedki always make everybody interested in their performance. I think that students should continue organising such parties with “friendly activities”.
